Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She's the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to converse in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She has an older sister. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Soon after they separated, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. On a trip Antonietta was staying at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew the things she wanted to be doing. She loved the campus. It also gave her the program she was interested in. After graduation, she enrolled at the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU, of which she is a member. They formed a strong connection. It was he who inspired her confidence, and his passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations, never letting him down.
